Essex Outdoors provide outdoor activities and day and residential trips for schools, colleges and groups from across the UK. Phuse successfully won the commission to develop this new website for Essex Outdoors and Essex County Council.
The brief was to plan and design a website with clear user channels, easily accessed services and content, prominent calls to action and modern design. The site also needed to be accessible have a flexible website CMS.
We worked closely with the client to produce a new strategy for the website, creating a site map and interactive wireframes to clearly plan out the customer journeys through the site.
The bespoke website development includes many components that allow the client to manage the website in-house through the website CMS. News, events, careers and courses are all managed through the custom CMS interface.
A striking website that has now been in place for a year and has seen its search ranking improve and online enquiries grow. The site is seen by Essex County Council (who run Essex Outdoors) as a successful balance between design and accessibility.
